  1. That’s what I like about good flavored coffees – that you can still taste the actual coffee. Not many do that.

I haven’t poured coffee over ice cream. It sounds really good to me right now, but I don’t eat that much ice cream anymore. Might have to try that next time.

This review is almost enough to get me to try flavored coffee again. Pecan pie is my personal favorite (although I usually only get it at Thanksgiving) and I especially like it ale mode with a good cup of coffee.

My favorite coffee flavored dessert is Tiramisu. I have never even thought to try coffee poured over ice cream, but you can rest assured that I am going to very soon.

Vanilla ice cream with the new Starbucks VIA ready brew coffee is delicious!
Also good mixing in vanilla frosting!

Years ago, when I needed a change of scene for some late-night studying, coffee and ice cream were my standby at the local diner. I’d order a scoop of vanilla (Blue Bunny) and a cup of coffee (Superior Brand, always freshly ground and newly brewed) and then float the scoop in the coffee. It gave the ice cream a great flavor and texture while melting, and then any leftover cream neatly incorporated itself into the coffee for a sweet and mild finish. I could even adjust the cream-to-coffee ratio by dropping in a spoonful of ice cream at a time. Ah, the memories.
