Hands down, whole bean. I also only get half pound bags whenever possible.

Anyone heard the VeggieTales’ song Barbara Manatee? If not, here’s a link to the video “Endangered Love”, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPJ1TfQpsQ8

    Enjoy!

BTW, John Lithgow also has a funny book on manatees.

QOTD: Now that I have a grinder, I buy whole bean. It just tastes fresher.

@Marty I will have to agree with Shanda on this one. That was hilarious when Bob walked in on him.

    Gawd,

What I’d give for a 7/10 coffee…. of any description.

    Beans ground or not?

Depends on the supplier – before moving to this caffeine free desert I had the opportunity to live near a stack of roasters and coffee traders who would grind ANY amount from 100grams up – in whatever combination of beans one would hope to acquire it was just easy to have it ground at the store.

In larger quantities though I generally go for whole beans – purely from a freshness and longevity point of view

Sounds like a decent coffee at a decent price. It is amazing the connections that people are able to make. I would have never seen either the Veggie Tales or the Sesame Street videos about Manatees were it not for this site and this coffee (and I have yet to decide if that is a good thing or a bad). I must say, it was good for a laugh or two (or three).

qotd? Most definitely whole bean. When it comes to coffee, fresher has to be better and fresh ground whole bean is far fresher than pre-ground.

  8. QOTD – I’d much rather have whole bean, however, if it is freshly ground, I’m not going to turn it away.

I do think it’s really cool that they’re trying to help the manatee. There’s several places down here in the Tampa area that are working to help them out.

  9. QOTD – Whole bean all the way. I love knowing that my beans were ground just moments before I brew. K-cups are a different story because I love the convenience factor, but if i’m going to buy a bag of coffee, definitely whole beans.
