Jason, it was really great to “meet” your father-in-law. I’m with you; family is everything. I think it is great that you involve your family when and as they want to get involved. I think it is awesome that Little Feet contributes to the community while also providing a great product. This seems to be a win, win, win situation.
qotd? I do all or virtually all of my volunteer work through our church and all of it’s related ministries.

QOTD – I have a feeling it’s a different Mike Crimmins, I went to school in Hyde Park, New York. However, it’s a pretty rare name, there’s a handful of us on Facebook, then a few more that I’ve found randomly on the web and in person.
QOTD – I don’t do much volunteer work anymore, not on purpose or anything like that, just since my move from Chicago to Florida, I don’t have the connections anymore. I think I’m going to have to look into it.

I’m volunteering with the fair trade organization in my area here in the Philippines. They produce and sell processed fruits, especially dried mangoes. Our local fair trade shop, however, sells 18-days brand coffee which is farmed, sourced, and processed under strict fair trade policies. They help our local coffee farmers in the Philippines. They also have Civet cat coffee (coffee luwak or coffee alamid), which by the way is sourced from wild Philippine civet cat droppings, and not the farmed ones, which is a total no no for fair trade. Should you be interested check out our website at http://www.cebuspftc.com. I also did a blog on the coffee alamid, its at http://tribong-upos.xanga.com/629584401/my-priced-possession/

This was such a great post ~ Family can also be fun. Such a great concept here for coffee fanatics like ourselves!
Also, Acres of Hope is such a wonderful charity. I have already visited the site and plan to tweet it.
I volunteer through my church, kid’s school, and through my blog. I think I do the most work through my blog.
Thanks for this site. Seriously, I think about coffee all day long.

Great video. Another “dusty” coffee huh. Reminds me of what you said about the Summer Safari K-cups.
As for the QOTD.. I don’t currently volunteer anywhere, but if i did, it would definitely be at a place that teaches children about Astronomy.

Thanks, Jason! I really appreciate what this company is doing for kids in Honduras–what a great campaign. And thank goodness this coffee doesn’t smell like dirty gym socks! It actually sounds quite pleasant.
QOTD: I unfortunately don’t volunteer very often, but sometimes I go to the food bank with my church and work for a couple of hours.

QOTD: For the last 2 1/2 years I have been a volunteer with my husbands unit in the Army working with the families of the soldiers in the unit. As the FRG Leader, I coordinate events, provide access to support that families may need, and act as a liaison between families and the chain of command as well as put out important unit related information. I love working with the families and I love doing everything I can to support my husband and his unit! GO ARMY!
