My Experience
As I walked in there were people busy at their lap tops. The barista was standing at the register with a plain look on her face, both pleasant and indifferent at the same time. She said nothing. “Hey how’s it going?” I said “Good.” she replied. “How many shots come in your small latte?” I asked.”2.” she replied. “OK I will get a small latte.” She said nothing and waited for me to give her money. I handed her a 20. She handed me my change. End Transaction. :-
I walked over to wait for my drink at the far end of the bar. I watched as she artfully steamed my milk and pulled my shots from a La Marzocco Machine. As she poured the milk and made a leaf with the foam, it brought a smile to my face. “I hope this tastes as good as it looks.” I thought. And it did! Sweet foamy goodness with no bitterness in the coffee at all.
Despite the less than stellar customer service; the drink was great, the environment was chill with good lighting, the seating was comfy, the Wifi was fast & free and the music volume was perfect (maybe it could have been a touch louder, I love music.).
All in all it was a good visit. The seating area was very approachable with many comfy chairs and a slightly separated area with a large table for a party or business meeting. It was a comfy environment, I can see why the lobby was partially full the entirety of my visit.
As I left the lobby was buzzing with conversation and caffeine. I will definitely come here again if I am ever in the neighborhood.

As long as the latte was good, that’s really the most important thing. But I DO like the employees that make an effort to creating a warm, friendly and even fun-loving atmosphere. I mean, most people are either going to their jobs, taking a break from work, or coming home from their jobs. They want to feel like they’re stepping in someone’s den, and the employees are the hosts… not employees trying to get to the end of their shift.
@Cathi Boswell – I totally agree, The shop I am at right now totally has the “warm, friendly” thing down. The latte at latteland was good but I would not make a special trip just for the coffee, if the customer service was stellar then that would be a strong possibility.
