K-Cup Mini Plus Review

I am in California far-far away from my beautiful Breville K-Cup coffee maker. Though I am not in Missouri I still need to keep the K-Cup reviews coming for my beautiful readers. I decided to try the Mini Plus coffee maker so I could keep the Keurig reviews coming and at the same time review the least expensive Keurig brewer available.

Mini Plus Design

The design of the Mini Plus is clean and smooth. It doesn’t draw too much attention to itself yet has clean lines (Plus my two favorite colors in an appliance are black and silver.) It fits easily under most any cabinet height and takes up just a little more counter space than my toaster.

The controls are very simple and easy to understand. There are three indicator lights: 1) Showing you to open the basket and 2) Showing you to fill with water. 3) The brew button lights up green when it is ready to brew and red while it is preparing to brew and brewing coffee. The biggest downside to the above process is the water well. The water reservoir is measured by plastic cups showing how high to fill the water. The only way to really ensure you are getting the exact volume, you desire, is to measure the water before place it in the reservoir.

Brewing K-Cup Coffee and Final Thoughts

One of the benefits of a K-Cup coffee brewer is speed. The Mini Plus takes much more time to brew than my Breville. After the brew indicator light turns green and I press brew the indicator light turns a blinking red showing that it is heating up. The heating took anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes for it would brew the coffee. People have also asked me on YouTube if you can control the water temperature on this machine, the answer is no. The Mini Plus is truly just the basics. There are no bells and whistles with this coffee machine. If you are looking for a brewer that is fast and accurate this is not a good option for you. However, if you are looking for a low cost coffee K-Cup that takes up little counter space, looks good and are not concerned with volume accuracy this machine is a perfect fit for you.
