  • Do you use different machines for each type of KCup coffee that you brew? The reason I ask is that all coffee tastes the same going through one of these machines because of the residue left after each brewing. And for tea drinkers, every cup of tea tastes like coffee. I have cleaned our machine, cycled water through it, and there is nothing I have been able to do to get tea to taste like tea – it always tastes like coffee. I have taken to flavored coffees in a pouch. It’s still one cup at a time – and there are some really good ones out there. My favorite I found at an Asian food store in Seattle and it is made in Malaysia. It is a “white coffee” that I just have to add hot water to. I have also tried to find it online and the only place I found, in the U.S., was at http://www.asianwhitecoffee.com. I won’t use the KCup coffee again.

  • Re: Your question of the Day. I had that situation when a couple of years ago when I was in the market for a new drip coffee maker. My choice was between a Krups and another one (whose name I forget!). It was a close call for me. I ended up going with a Krups combination brewer/grinder, in part because it was on sale, and also the grinder was better than my existing one (conical vs. blade).

  • Hey Jason

I have often wondered about k cup. I haven’t tried that brewer because I have always had a Tassimo and have not seen a Keurig brewer in the UK (maybe I haven’t looked hard enough).

I am still trying to find my favourite Tassimo coffee. Have you reviewed any of their coffee?

When it comes to choosing between two things I am normally greedy :) The last dilemma I had was the xbox360 and the PS3…. ended up with both and a wife who wondered where all the money went :)

  • Hi Jason,

I think its always difficult to choose between 2 things. I have to choose between notebook and apple Ipod. I had consulted with many friends and finally I decided to go with Apple Ipod. But after few months I bought notebook also :-)

  • K Cup Coffee Battle with Jason reviews two Fair Trade certified organic Coffees. I think so good

  • There seems to be a lot of battling over traditional brewing methods and the newer single serve (k-cup) method. To me, there is a lot less waste with the k-cups and a lot quicker to get finished. Since I am the only one in my house that drinks coffee, it is nicer for me. Not to mention that I can have a different flavor for each cup if that is what I so desire. I do like the Fair Trade concept and I hope it can spread. Check out our site for some great K-Cup prices. Thanks for the post. I’ll be back often to check out what you are up to.

    Regards
