  1. I have two favorite shoe companies. For dress shoes it’s Kenneth Cole, sure it’s pretty stylish, but more because they do a lot to help homeless, AIDS and environmental charities. For running shoes it’s New Balance. I think they make the best quality shoes – technical wise and comfort wise.

Bingo. Sounds like you hit the Hazelnut jackpot. I really enjoyed your son’s review. Good job starting them young. My youngest is a coffee fanatic as well — he sucks down all my cold-brew for his iced coffee drinks.

qotd? Cole Haan (when I can find them on sale at DSW) for dress shoes and Addidas athletic shoes (they were the popular shoes when I was in high school and I could never afford them) and no, I am not a runner.

A new job! Yay you! And your son is sooo cute.

QOTD: Steve Maddens, and like Neil, I only buy them at DSW.

Hi Jason! A few comments and questions here… oh, and before I forget!… “# Win A Box”… I wasn’t too thrilled with this episode b/c I don’t have a k-cup brewer (I guess it’s now 1-quick-cup) and I don’t think I’d want one, either. I’ve tasted the coffees that were offered with this “brewer” at my orthodontist’s office, and it was not pleasing at all. Plus, I wouldn’t want to have to go and spend the extra funds on their brewer when I can do it for less with a french press, which is the “gold standard”, right?!? I love seeing the oils floating on the top after pouring my french press. Heya, maybe you’ve mentioned this somewhere else on your site or in a different video that I haven’t watched yet, but how come you’re doing so many K-cup brewer testings? Maybe I’m out of the loop here, but I didn’t realize it was that popular! It is a sponsor gig? I’d like to see you stick with the beans, but that’s just my personal opinion. Two other questions: 1) This may be a silly question, but how do I become a top 10 commentator? Are their perks to being on the list or being number one? 2) You didn’t mention when you’ll be pulling a name for the contest draw for this episode. It would be great if you could include that in your videos so that we know when the deadline is, etc etc. Ok, QOTD: Favourite shoe and shoe company? Although I do wear runners when I just need a pair of practical shoes for out-n-about, I most enjoy finding a pair of COMFORTABLE heels or boots to wear. Nothin’ crazy or over the top, but just somethin’ classy, elegant, and sharp-lookin’. One of the most comfortable leather knee-high boots I’ve tried on (and have forever since wished i would have bought!) was a simple-looking chocolate brown boot by Roberto Vianni. They fit like a glove and had that custom-fit feel to them, they were so comfortable to walk in, had a soft sole, and yet were stylish enough to be a dressy boot but double as an everyday boot with style… LOL! How’s that for a description? It sounds like you’re a sandal kinda guy, so in terms of sandals, I think my all-time favourite pair was by Eddie Bauer of all places. It honestly reminded me of the kind of strappy brown leather sandal that you’d see Jesus or one of His disciples wearing in that day and age! They were the most comfortable and yet cute lookin’ sandals I have ever owned, worn them well out after a few short years of use, and still to this day wish that I had bought 2 pairs! Just as a side note, other brands I’ve found very comfortable and “sole-pleasing” have been Clarks, Rockport, and Hush Puppies. I’ve found that if I invest a few extra dollars in a good, quality-made shoe, it’s worth the extra greens and lasts much longer. Look forward to hearing back from you Jason! Sincerest Regards, Sarita*
