Overview
Jason was staying in the Four Season Hotel at Lake of the Ozarks and did a review of their “in room coffee”. His sister Lori, who you will remember from Episode 40, makes another guest appearance along with her boyfriend, Aaron.

QOTD – I like the camera the way it is. But I wouldn’t complain either way.
As far as hotel coffee, I’ve been thinking about all of the hotels I’ve stayed at in the past couple years, which have been a lot because of work, but only one had good coffee. That was the Universal Sheraton, because they actually had a real barista making coffee on site. I know that’s not exactly the same, but in room, in the lobby, I can’t think of any good coffee that I’ve ever had.
I’ve tried that exact same coffee pod when I stayed at the Extended Stay America Hotel in California. I have to agree, it wasn’t pleasant, but I chugged it down anyway.
QOTD – I don’t think you need a camera man/woman. You’ve been doing great so far, and your videos have a lot of personality. Whenever people start to try and go too high tech and professional (green screen, studio, professional camera man, etc), I feel that they lose that personal connection with their audience.
Four Seasons Hotel room $150.00
Coffee maker $100.00
Coffee pods $ 5.00
The look on your face Priceless!!
I admire your willingness to again take one for the team and taste test what is questionably called coffee.
qotd? I have to agree with Jason. I don’t watch because of some snooty coffee snob giving his opinion. I watch because I see an average guy who happens to love coffee tell us what he thinks about a particular coffee. Keep it real and keep the “personality” that comes with the occasional camera operator, but not a regular one.
This made me laugh. You have no idea how badly I wanted to spit it out immediately!
@Jason from SingleServeCoffeeDeals.com – wow, the same coffee at extended stay, that is interesting. Did you go double or single podded?
That is very interesting. I know I really want to start seeing hotels carry good in room coffee. I did a video about this a while back and I think it would be awesome if hotels carried good coffee like how some of them carry good wine, even if it was for purchase.
@Jason Coffee – I only did a single pod because we had two in the room and my Fiance wanted a cup as well.
I’ve started hearing about a few hotels that are starting to use Keurig machines since the K-Cups tend to stay fresh much longer than pods.
@Jason Coffee – I wouldn’t mind at all paying more for quality in room coffee.
