For more than twenty years I have relished my morning cup of Eight O'Clock original for its rich, mellow taste. Last month I noticed a definite change in its appearance and taste: the grounds are too fine and black. It brews very strong but flavorless. I have changed nothing in the way I brew it.
Have other Eight O'Clock drinkers noticed this change? Surely their rise in fame from the 2009 Consumer Reports reviews hasn't gone to their heads.

Are you on Facebook? They have a presence there, and I see them answering consumer questions quite often.

Pretty interesting. I have never had a cup of 8 Oclock coffee so it would not be a fair comparison if I tried it now. Would love to know if they answer back on the facebook page.

EightOClockGal, I was curious to know if you ever found an answer to your question? I roast my own coffee so I do not buy pre-roasted, but I have a buddy who loves Eight O'clock Coffee who has never said anything about a change.
