I thought I would "bump" this back up to the top, but based on the lack of response it would appear that the poll is out on the question of polls and most people seem pretty ambivalent to polls.

I don't mind the polls, but sometimes I think others do them not to learn anything or even to make a point, but simply as "filler" content.  I am all for a good poll that elicits good information, or for a poll that highlights interesting information, but it needs to be in addition to good solid content and not a replacement for it.
