Yeah, title pretty much sums it up.  Though I have a cat, and his name is Cicero.

He says, "hi" by the way.  He and I are both totally mad coffee fanatics.

I used to be a barista, I plan on being a barista again.  Cicero, on the other hand, is purrrrfectly content with home coffee making.  We both really like coffeegeek.com and we used to listen to Mark Prince's podcast.  Back in the day.

So, without further ado, HELLO!

Hey, really good to meet you! Welcome to the coffee forum. Your cat sounds fun. Does he drink espresso?

He really ought to.  For having such strong opinions about everything, you would think he would be a little more active in the actual 'drinking process'.  But he's a true barista snob – he's waiting for The Perfect Cup of Coffee and doesn't want to risk ruining his palate on anything but the absolute best.

I tried to convince him to try some fabulous Intelligenstia this afternoon, but since I brewed it in a drip pot he wasn't interested.

Still, it was a major success for me since it's the first time I've been able to get my Hario Skerton adjusted to actually produce a decent grind for drip.  Could have been stronger.

But it was a major victory for me.

He's a "single origin" kind of cat.

He likes Kenyan the best, I think.  Though I've been trying to get him to broaden his horizons and try some fantastic blends, but he's been having WAY too much fun with our new Hario Skerton to even both tasting coffee.

He's more in it for the gadgets than anything else.
