Every morning I drink brewed coffee.

When I go out I personally love espresso. It envolopes your whole tongue with flavor whether it be fruit, acidity, butter smoothness, velvity awesomeness or earthiness. When it's good it's good, like an explosion of awesomeness on your tongue.

For a special treat I go for a whole milk latte with an extra shot!

How about you?

I would have to go with an Americano above all.  I like the delicateness of it over the same coffee via another method of extraction.  When I at a place that I know can pull espresso straight up with out messing it up I will get the espresso as well.

@Dan do you ever go for a macchiato?

Oh yes, the macchiato is on the list as well.  In order to get that I have to know they can prep the milk correctly as well as pull the espresso well… not a lot of room for error in a macchiato.

I'm with Dan, done correctly, there is nothing like a shot of espresso.

My favorite coffee drink is one I brew up myself. An iced Kahlua Mocha Chip. Dark roast coffee with two shots of Kahlua, a spot of whole milk, and mini chocolate chips blended well. So tasty in the summertime.

My favorite drink is honestly just regular coffee.  A lot of the
coffees I have had have been great so I love just trying new coffees.
Espresso is good as well, but my favorite will always be regular coffee.Laugh

Fresh Coffee ✔ French Press ✔ Filtered Water ✔ Making the freshest coffee that you can make = Priceless

My 'regular' drink is a caramel white chocolate mocha. it's getting to be too sweet though. I have been favoring darker, bolder blends lately. : )

Sugar-free mocha, skim, whipped.  Yummy!  The only place I've found that can do it right is my local, independent coffee shop :(

My standbys are skinny hazelnut lattes and bold coffees with half/half and sugar, but on special occasions, I love me some espresso!

I have really come to love my Chemex.  I love the control over the pour, the bloom, and the water level.  This gives me increased control over the strength and the flavor of the coffee.  To me it is a lot like a french press without all of the sediment.  Plus, it is just a lot of fun pouring your own water over those grounds and watching and smelling as all that flavor is extracted from the bean.  I'm making myself crave some more coffee.

That doesn't sound weird at all. When you say Macchiato do you mean shots of espresso w/ a little foam and w/c or a sbux type caramel macchiato?

SBUX uses the term very poorly, they make a "caramel macchiato" as a vanilla latte with caramel drizzled over the top of the foam that they spoon on the top.  That is not a macchiato.

Every day I drink a lot of brewed coffee. And at cafés I drink either brewed coffee or a espresso. At times I order my favourite and that is the "Diablo" a triple espresso with foamed milk, 1/3 espresso and 2/3 foamed milk with some sugar. Though there is only one café in town that can do it properly and that is Spegeln (Mirror) a really cosy theatre cafeteria. With a good staff that knows what they are doing.

Pasuriku, do you have a favorite variety of brewed coffee?  Do you like the Africans, the South Americans, the Inonesians?  and, do you have a brew method that you prefer? vac pot? press pot? pour over?  I am always looking for different varieties of coffee people enjoy, and I like to know why, and to find out how they brew their coffee because that can make a big difference in how it tastes.

It is good to have you here in the forums and to get your insights on all things coffee, especially being from Gevalia. What a heritage for good coffee.

As an occasional sweet coffee treat, a caramel iced coffee from Jack in the Box hits the spot. When I lived in the Northwest, I'd hit a drive-up coffee hut and treat myself to a coffee milkshake with 4 shots. There might have been another name for those other than milkshakes, but I don't remember. Some forgettable foreign word that means nothing to me.

I miss those independent drive-up coffee places. There's nothing like them here in my part of Southern California. Starbucks' drive-thrus don't count, as I avoid the big S with every fiber of my being. They put all the local independents out of business with their store saturation policy.

Currently iced coffee with a little vanilla and cream. It changes all the time though. Sometimes I just go with a regular coffee with cream depending on how broke I am or how cold it is outside. There is a local place that makes a mean vanilla latte, but those are usually too sweet for me so that's just a very rare treat.Cool
