This is a method for making french press coffee without one. If you'd like to try a coffee similar to similar to a one made with a french with utensil that you already have try this. Heat up some water (the water has to be a little bit more than amount of coffee you want) and pour it in a cup. Then add the desired amount of coffee to the hot water, stir and let it brew. To prevent the water from cooling to fast put a small dish on dish on top of the cup. After it has brewed for 4 to 7 minutes stir it again. Take a funnel or a strainer and place a piece napkin of some sort of filter over it, then pour the coffee on the strainer or funnel so the coffee will go to the cup were your going to drink it.

The advantage of this method is that you can use any coffee, fine or coarse, since the napkin or filter will filter the coffee grounds.
