Episode #29 – Rocketfuel Jamaican Blue Mountain

Posted on 26. May, 2009 by in Coffee Reviews

Jamaican Blue Mountain is truly a unique coffee. An intense juicy acidity like I have never experienced with a smooth soft body and a clean finish crisp finish.

Wow, you really got excited about this one! It must be good!

QOTD: As long as it’s ice cold, I love Cranberry Juice for its tart flavor. It’s good for the kidneys too.

I love Mountain Dew, I almost think a coffee flavor wouldn’t be too bad. Ok, maybe it would be.

I’ve been meaning to try some Rocket Fuel for awhile, after hearing that review, it might be sooner rather than later.

QOTD – Cranberry or Orange juice. I go through phases where I can’t get enough of each one.

Wow, Mountain Dew coffee would be the ultimate pick-me-up! But Jamaican Blue Mountain sounds delicious as is. :)

  11. The best coffee! I recently picked up a ‘blend’ of JBM with Columbian – good stuff but doesn’t come close to how smooooth straight JBM is

QOTD – Raspberry Lemonade,so freaking good.

As for the Jamaican, I love the stuff. I used to work at a cafe/roastery and we always had some green beans on hand for special orders. I miss having it at my finger tips, freshly roasted.

Don’t forget the other reason that JBM is so expensive: JAPAN. They refinanced their debt a while back and part of that was the stipulation that Jamaica has to send 90 % of all their Blue Mountain coffee to Japan. Leaving only 10% for the rest of the world, that drives the price up even more.

I still say it’s worth the cash, especially from a great roaster like Jet Fuel.

I love JBM, but Yrgacheffe is my favorite coffee for drinking any time of day. Pepsi when I’m not drinking coffee..

QOTD – I love me some pink grapefruit juice best of all.

I had a chance to try Jamaican Bleu Mountain after a caribbean cruise last year based on a recommendation from a fellow cruiser. Wow.. what an intensely flavorful coffee. It’s hard to find around my neighborhood but when I can get it fresh, I bring over friends and have a party to enjoy it properly.

Coffee is such an amazing thing, interesting that there are so many factors into a decent coffee.

Take #kopiluwak for instance … who’d have thought running a coffee bean through a cat could add such great flavour

I still think the “explosion of flavor” in Jamaican Blue Mountain sounds delicious. I’ll have to check it out.

    Also, orange juice is superior!

Thank you very much for singing the praises of my beloved coffee. I am a Blue Mountain Coffee farmer. My family have been for three generations. There is a whole lot of love in every single bean that we produce. I have always known that we produce some of the best coffee in th world, but it wasn’t until I became computer literate and started going online that I realized just how cherished and appreciated our coffee really is. Thanks again

Thanks for the video. I’m a coffee fanatic and I will do anything for a good citrussy coffee – there’s a Kenya and a Dry Process Yirgacheffe that are quickly making their way into my heart :-) . Anyways, for QOTD I like to mix it up with my juices but I’d have to say my favourites are the tea lemonades here at Starbucks. Keep drinking! (coffee that is)
