I was hanging out at one of my favorite local places, Cafe Main, when the owner came over and asked if I would like to try a brew style called, The Clever Coffee Dripper. And of course I said, “Yes!” Minutes later she brought it to the table, pictured to the left, and gave us a short rundown on the brew style.
Clever Coffee Dripper
The Clever Coffee Dripper by Sweet Marias is a great way to enjoy coffee. It is a full immersion coffee brew style somewhere between a french press and drip. It is very similar to a french press because it soaks in hot water before filtering but cousin to drip because it is run through a paper or mesh filter. The thing I liked most about it was how much of the flavor in the coffee was brought out while leaving zero sediment behind. The only drawback I noticed was the water temperature. By the time the coffee was ready to drink it had cooled down significantly but was still very drinkable.
As you can see in the video these things are really easy and fun to use. I can’t wait to enjoy my coffee in Clever Coffee Dripper again sometime soon.
I was introduced to the Clever Dripper at the Atlanta Dancing Goats coffee bar…since then it has become my favorite filtered brew method! Finally one of the coffee reviewers I watch regularly has give this beautiful creation some attention

I do something like this, but with a tea infuser. I use a cup-shaped infuser that fits inside the mug. Put the coffee inside, let it brew for five minutes, pull the infuser out, and drink the coffee.
