Cafe Main Coffee Shop Review
For those of you that are familiar with the area Cafe Main is located in the same space that Hard Bean Cafe used to occupy in Grandview, Missouri on Main Street. Cafe Main has made some big changes since taking over the space. Everything has changed and in my humble opinion in a good way. From the floors to chairs even the bar area was pushed to take up more space dedicated to the preparation of the coffee. Cafe Main is a coffee shop that hasn’t left the coffee behind.
Main in Grandview
Today is Cafe Main’s official grande opening but I want to take you back to a couple weeks ago. My family and I were out for a Saturday drive and I mentioned stopping by to see if the new coffee shop had opened it’s doors. As we pulled up to 801 Main Street it looked like the coffee shop was closed but I still wanted to look in to see the progress. I jumped out of the car and looked in the window. Inside I saw a couple of employees hanging out next to a un-functional register and in a half put together but nice looking coffeehouse. One of them saw me looking in and waved for my whole family to come inside. As I walked through the door I asked them, “Are you open?” “Sort of, come on in and we’ll make you something!” They made a steamed drink for all my kids and wife, a double espresso for me and even gave us some samples of their on tap Kombucha. As I waited eagerly for my espresso I chatted with the owner, Tikva, about their coffee, from Broadway Cafe, and their plans to connect with surrounding community. I loved what I was hearing and as I sipped on my espresso I loved what I was tasting. The coffee was amazing! The espresso was so velvety smooth with great acidity and fruit hints. I was captivated by my experience to say the least. The decore, the staff, the food (specialty quiche and cupcakes) the coffee and the environment drew me in and now I am a fan of Cafe Main!
Coffee Shop Grande Opening
The grand opening, which is were I am writing this, is a total blast! There is live music on the patio, a lobby full of customers and a staff that is smiling and ready to make awesome drinks. Right now I am enjoying my double small whole milk latte. The espresso is great and the milk is sweet. If I seem a little excited it’s because I am really am! This coffee shop is in my neck of the woods and is probably going to be a regular hang out for me, I hope to see you here sometime.
