This is one of you biggest ascets in today’s business environment. Here are 3 big reasons a blog is so important for boosting sales:
Reason #1
Google Searches & Ranking: When you have a blog make sure it is connected to your main company website. (http:.//mywebsite.com/myblog) That way went google goes crawling the web it finds new content on your site and indexes that content for searches. Remember the more content you have on you website the more pages you will have indexed in google, that will show up in searches when people go looking for good coffee. (Just ask Darren Rowse over at Problogger he has a great article on SEO that takes you a little deeper into the importance of this.)
Reason #2
A Social Home Base: Obviously it is my belief that connecting socially on Twitter and Facebook is very helpful. I also think having a central location for the message you are trying to get across is equally if not more important. This gives your customers a key connected point where they can interact with you and your company on a slightly deeper level plus the fact that they are now positioned to purchase something at that point of contact.
Reason #3
Building Community: This is without a doubt my favorite one out of all three of these. We have established that it is important for you to have a connection to you customer but this gives your customers an opportunity to develop a relationship with each other. A great way to go a step further is to creat a community forum where your visitors and can go into deeper discussion about a post or connected with you and each other at a much deeper level.
