If you are a college student, camper or the only person in the house that drinks coffee the Melitta 1 Cup Coffee Maker could be the perfect way for you to brew coffee. In this article I will review the Melitta Coffee Maker and give the pros and cons of brewing coffee in it.
Melitta Single Cup Coffee Maker
I have had one of these coffee maker for the past 7 years and it probably one of the most convenient ways I have found to brew one cup of coffee at a time. I do not brew my coffee in it everyday, though there was a time when I did, but if I am home alone or just want a quick cup without the hassle of having to clean my coffee maker or french press afterwords this is the route I will go. This was particularly helpful to have when I was a bachelor. Very inexpensive, anywhere from $3 – $20, and very portable for if I ever stayed over at a friends house or went

camping. I have owned the same 1 cup Melitta for the past 7 years and it shows no signs of dieing anytime soon. I also found the same brewing method but with a 6 cup coffee pot attachment . I have personally never tried it but it looks like a less-expensive alternative to your normal drip brewer. With it’s simple design and amazing portability, I would recommend this brew method to almost anyone.
Live Demonstration
I also did a live video demonstration, shown below, on the Melitta brewing method on Ustream.tv during a contest a while back showing how it works.

Jason, I was unable to watch this demonstration live on Ustream and I think the end may have been cut off on this post, but this looks like a great convenience item. I have an Aeropress that I very much enjoy. I think the Aeropress is closer to a cup of espresso than this Melitta would be (I am guessing the Melitta would be more like a drip coffee maker — only with a better brewing temperature). Anyway, thanks for always providing us with more and more information on coffee and the various means of enjoying it.
